As we first mentioned almost two years ago, the Wachowski brothers, famous for creating The Matrix franchise, were going through some changes. Primarily Larry Wachowski was transitioning to become a woman.

And, by the looks of things, Larry, who goes by Lana now, seems to have transitioned well!

Lana was recently spotted departing the Los Angeles International Airport looking nothing like she did a few years back.

She's now sporting blonde hair and has opted to get rid of her glasses.

And despite what anyone says, you know if you saw her at the airport, you would have never guessed she was born a dude.

You're looking good Lana. Go on with your fierce self!

Hopefully Wachowski will use his celebrity to create more awareness for transgender people and issues.

And, by the way, we spotted a wedding ring on her finger.

Cher's son to undergo SRS

Cher's child is in the process of having a sex change, it has been revealed.

Chaz Bono, who lived as a lesbian called Chastity for nearly 20 years, is to undergo gender reassignment.

His publicist Howard Bragman said last night: "He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by loved ones. It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his coming out did nearly 20 years ago."

LGBT organisations such as GLAAD have already given their support.

Bono, 40, is Cher's only child with late husband Sonny Bono. He is a gay rights activist but also works as a musician, writer and actor. He wrote about his experience of coming out to his mother in the memoir Family Outing.

Bragman said he has already begun hormone therapy but it is not yet known whether he will be having gender reassignment surgery.

Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, 12 Mai (Lusa) - A poucos dias de comemorar a data que marca o combate à homofobia, no próximo dia 17, o movimento brasileiro de lésbicas, gays, bissexuais e transexuais (LGBT) concentra esforços na aprovação de uma lei contra a discriminação por orientação sexual.

As atenções de pelo menos 200 organizações que lutam pela liberdade de orientação sexual no Brasil voltam-se, no próximo quarta-feira, para o Senado brasileiro na expectativa de que seja votado e aprovado o projecto de lei 5003/2001, que mais tarde se tornou o projecto de lei da Câmara (PLC) 122/2006, que propõe a criminalização da homofobia.

A chamada "lei da homofobia", cujo projecto estava pronto desde 2006 à espera de ser votado, no entanto, segundo Toni Reis, presidente da Associação Brasileira de Gays, Lésbicas, Bissexuais, Travestis e Transexuais (ABGLT), enfrenta obstáculos que atrasam a entrada do documento na agenda do Senado.
